Okay! I had to search high and low for a show that I was in the mood for… I tried Rebel Princess and Rebirth For You and both of those were just a LOT (I made it half way through both shows) and I just had to take a break. I’m sure I’ll still end up finishing them and reviewing them later on but for now I needed something that wasn’t full of kingdom palace plots and young people obsessed with loving someone who doesn’t want them at all, whatsoever.

Therefore… SHINING JUST FOR YOU was born.
Heh.
Kidding! I found it and it sounded interesting! I love shows with some supernatural powers! Bring it on!
I’m ready for an adventure that doesn’t have over 65 episodes, I needed something smaller and lighter!

The the main male lead of this show (Shining Just For You) has actually played in quite a lot of things but surprisingly I have not each ANY of them! What are the odds of that? (Its very low trust me, I watch everything, I know what your thinking!!)
The main female lead plays in Goodbye My Princess, which I have also not watched but it is on my list. It has my absolutely most hated troupe line so I will have to watch it when I am really really in the mood for it.

LOLOLOLOL oh wow, that was such a terrible scene, so unrealistic and fake, bahahahaha. Okay I scoffed laughed myself silly XD
But anyway!!! Enter the manly male warrior!

Alright I gotta say for a 2022 they are not working with a big budget it appears. Absolutely nothing wrong with this as long as the script and actresses/actors can carry the show. I am intrigued to keep watching!

Honestly, I really don’t know where this story is going but for goodness sake I’m struggling here LOLOL. Third time and still no luck! I am curious enough to keep watching but it is a struggllleeee.

Where is this storyline going? It feels like it is falling flat and I hate that the King has so many women already, even though yeah yeah yeah back in those times that’s what it was, I still don’t like it.
Now granted he doesn’t seem to be interested in any of them and I’m sure once the main female lead plays more into her role there is going to be palace issues with the other women trying to get rid of her *cue eyeroll*.

This is very interesting how they have added powers into the show but the show itself doesn’t feel like there should be powers in it. Every time they randomly use the powers I feel caught off guard LOL.

I really like how she keeps magically appearing with better and better clothes, like where are they coming from and where you getting the money at? Even working at the place, she’s still technically a prisoner of state.

…. I really liked the Kings personality in the beginning of the series but now I don’t like him at all… I hope they make his character more worth it soon.

LOLOL I just cannot take the Winged One’s seriously, he looks ridiculous in that mask.

Well I did it guys, I finished it, but it was hard. I struggled, it was a battle of wills to finish it. To not give up on it. But I did it.

The fact that they had her wearing such high heels cracked me up compared to everyone else’s shoes!

The whole show was okay, I really didn’t like the King’s character or personality but I did feel like it made sense as to HOW a King actually ought to be, so in that regard I think they did well.
I wasn’t impressed with the love story but again with how everything happened it made sense and went well with the storyline. But outside of that, there is a lot of details missing here and there and things that didn’t quite add up.

I really didn’t like that he had such a harem of women but they were pretty much just mentioned, they didn’t do anything with that part and the one lady that was the Consort Tian, you pretty much were able to guess where her fate would lead her right off, but I will say it was nice that they didn’t have her doing dirty deeds to off the main female lead and in fact even had her supporting the King. So that was a refresher.

The second love story seriously annoyed the heck out of me, I did not like what they did with it at all!!! But Alas…
This story was not for me.

The actors and actresses were okay, the script was okay, the scenery was okay, the music so-so, all in all it was just an okay show. Not something I want to watch again or honestly even recommend lol.
I want to give it a 7 if I am being brutally honest…

All I’ll say is if you are seriously seriously bored this can be watched…. but for me personally I’m literally so glad its done and over with!!
